“The dancer believes that his/her art has something to say which cannot be expressed in words or in any other way than by dancing.”

“Where words fail, music speaks.” ~ Hans Christian Andersen
Heather is Yakima Valley, Washington's premier, professional middle eastern dance artist. She has been studying dance in one form or another for over 20 years. She is a perpetual student. Her interests are varied and include (but are not limited to) ballroom, ballet and several forms of middle eastern/oriental dance.
She had the good fortune to spend over 3 years living in Okinawa, Japan during part of her husband’s Marine Corps career. While living in Japan, she discovered the art of middle eastern dance and instantly fell in love. Her areas of concentration include classical Egyptian, Improvisational Tribal Style and American Cabaret/Orientale. She also dabbles in Tribal and Gypsy Fusion dance.
Her dance style is influenced by the instruction of Ranya Renee of New York, Dalida & Sa’Diyya of Texas, Nadira Jamal of Boston, Nourhan Sharif of New York, Ma dames Mona El Said, Lubna Emam, Dandash, Randa Kamel & Leila Farid, Messieurs Asi Haskal, Osama Emam and Momo Kadous, all of Cairo, Egypt.
Heather relocated and is based in Selah, Washington, just north of Yakima. She enjoys sharing the art of middle eastern dance with her students and is pleased to present elegant and tasteful, family friendly performances in opulent, professional costuming to clients in the surrounding area. Her captivating shows have included such props as finger cymbals, flowing silk veils, isis wings and glimmering candles and swords.

She exceeded our expectations. We also enjoyed our belly dance class. It was fun for all of us. Even the first timers were able to learn a fun combination and enjoy the music. I highly recommend the Hen Party for your group. We will not soon forget how much we enjoyed it!” ~ Stacey Dolan
