Each year in May, the students of Belly By Heather ~ Granbury Belly Dance participate in a Showcase that enables them to share the performance pieces that they learn during the dance year. It is also an opportunity for us to give back and offer support to identified needs in our community.
Belly By Heather and its 2013 beneficiary, the Granbury Cheetahs are seeking sponsors/underwriters to defray the cost of the conference center and some of the print matter (i.e. tickets, programs, handbills) for this event. We humbly ask for your financial support.
This Showcase is shaping up to be the biggest and best one yet. Attendees will enjoy elegant, family friendly entertainment suitable for all ages in two acts with an intermission and light refreshments. Act One will be comprised of our beautiful student performances. Act Two will consist of a number of lovely, award winning professional middle eastern dance performers from Dallas/Ft. Worth and Granbury including Yeli, Rivkah, Nadirah Johara, Sa'diyya and Heather. These performers will be dancing to the music of an excellent middle eastern musical duo, "Wind and Fingers" of Dallas.
The professional dancers, musicians and emcee are graciously donating their performances and service to our cause. Graphic design, some print matter and newspaper advertisement support has also been pledged. There is a silent auction planned as well. All net proceeds from ticket sales, donations and excess sponsorship funds will go directly to the Granbury Cheetahs ~ A Special Olympics Texas Team.
About the Granbury Cheetahs....Your generous support will enable special needs children and adults in Hood County the opportunity to be active in competitive sports at their own individual levels. The local delegation was formed in 2009 by one local parent and four athletes. The team has experienced tremendous growth in recent months. From May to September 2012, the number of athletes served has increased from 23 to 56! The program is a part of Special Olympics Texas, but is run solely by local parents and volunteers. Athletes compete in events such as cycling, track and field, swimming, bowling and most recently, power lifting. There is no charge to the athletes and no one is turned away. All athlete participation is made possible by local fundraising and a cadre of super volunteers.
Today, we ask you to help us make a difference in another person's life by being one of our sponsors. Several levels of support with corresponding advertisement and other benefits are listed below. The Granbury Cheetahs are a 501(c)(3) and donations are tax deductible. Thank you for your time and interest. We hope that we can count on your support of this worthy cause.

Local artist Lorrie Nickelson has created a fabulous Faberge' Style Texas themed egg to raffle during the 3rd annual "An Evening of Oriental Dance" benefiting the Granbury Cheetahs.
This work of art has been hand crafted from an emu egg and features Texas blue bonnets, the Lone Star, the State of Texas and a "State Of Texas" medallion adorns the top of the egg. It sits atop a lone star ready to be showcased in any fine Texas home! Ms. Nickelson will be on hand at the showcase to share information about her lovely creation and answer guest's questions. Raffle tickets will be available at the show - $1 for one, $5 for 6. |
